MAC Lipsticks: Goddess of the Sea, Viva Glam Rihanna, Heroine & more! (June 2014 Haul)

hey u! so before i get started, i just need to vent. this morning i went to the MAC store to buy a few MAC lipsticks from the Kelly Osbourne Collection BUT by the time i arrived, they were all sold out! i was sooo bummed out! it totally ruined my morning. i know they're just lipsticks but still... anyhow, after a while, i got over it.
so today's post will be on my most recent MAC lipstick purchases. yes, it's HAUL time!
i bought a few of them about 4 months ago while the rest i purchased within the past month or so.

i know i kinda splurged a little but since i was pregnant i decided to treat myself before my baby arrived bcuz i knew that once she was born, all of my funds would go towards her and only her. but that's alright bcuz my baby girl is sooo worth it! hands down!  =) 
and what can i say about the MAC lipsticks... they're great! i love them all. i'm definitely content with the variety of colors that i chose bcuz i have a different shade for each day/mood, lol.
believe it or not, there are still a few MAC lipsticks that i need to get my hands on! too many to name.

I'm Back! (It's A Girl!)

hey u! well, it's been a while since i last posted on my blog. a lot has happened in my life, since my last post on July 2013. but the most important change in my life was finding out i was pregnant! i am happy and proud to say that i am now the mother of a beautiful little princess!!! my daughter was born on cinco de mayo. she has given my life a whole new meaning! she is my reason for living! i can't begin to describe how i feel when i look into her gorgeous little eyes! i just love her sooo much!!! i thank God for blessing me with her little soul!

since i love Hello Kitty, i've decided to make her crib bedding, and as much decor & toys, her theme. our room is filled with Hello Kitty's everywhere! i love it! my husband, on the other hand, isn't as thrilled, lol. but that's ok bcuz he loves his little princess and would want to please her as much as possible.
but now that i'm somewhat returning to my regular routine, i will start posting more on my blog. or at least i plan to, lol. it all depends on my baby girl bcuz she comes first! but i would also like to take advantage of my time off work since i'm on maternity leave until August 2014. with that being said, i plan to post my first blog post of 2014, tomorrow, after i make a little purchase from MAC. so until then, thanks for stopping by!

7-19-13 EOTD - Wet 'n Wild Blue Had Me At Hello palette

hey u! i know i've been MIA for a minute but what can i say... life happens, you know! so today's Eye Of The Day was created with the Wet 'n Wild Blue Had Me At Hello 8 pan palette.  =)

i used the black, matte, eyeshadow all over the lid and then i combined the white frosty eyeshadow with the silver eyeshadow and applied it to my tear duct. the light brown eyeshadow on my crease is from the Wet 'n Wild I Heart Matte palette. my false lashes are from e.l.f. cosmetics and the mascara i used is from n.y.c. until next time... thanks for stopping by!

5-3-13 EOTD - Wet 'n Wild I Heart Matte palette

hey u! so today's Eye Of The Day was originally created this past Friday, May 3rd 2013, with my Wet 'n Wild I Heart Matte palette. this palette happens to be, by far, my favorite Wet 'n Wild palette!  =)

for this eye makeup look i only used three eyeshadows from the I Heart Matte palette by Wet 'n Wild. the creamy eyeshadow, the peachy eyeshadow and the brown eyeshadow. then i applied my black eyeliner by Jordana and some falsies as well. i also applied a white eyeliner to my waterline, also by Jordana. i'm really loving drugstore makeup! great quality at a reasonable price. you can't beat that! until next time...

Maybelline Color Whisper lipstick in 40 Orange Attitude

hey u! so since i absolutely LOVE lipsticks, lip balms and any other lip products, i decided to try out Maybelline's Color Whisper lip colors in 40 Orange Attitude.  =)  

the packaging for these lip colors is super cute. (i'm definitely a sucker for cute packaging!)

the Maybelline website says:
"Pure color pigments suspended in a weightless gel. No heavy waxes or oils. Soft, sexy gel-color."

this color is somewhat reminiscent of the Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, in my opinion, just a little more sheerer. but you can always build up the intensity to your liking.

i purchased this Maybelline Color Whisper at my local CVS. since i bought it a few weeks ago i don't remember how much it cost, sorry guys! but you can always go online to check prices and any special offers that may be available! CVS always has great deals! =) i love CVS! i've been shopping at CVS a lot, for the past two months or so, thanks to their extrabucks rewards! AND their return policy is amazing!  =)

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids lipstick in 885 Vibrant Mandarin

hey u! so a few weeks ago i jumped on the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids lipstick bandwagon.  =)  

the lip color i decided to try was 885 Vibrant Mandarin.  

the Maybelline website says: "Now bright goes gorgeous, never garish. Brighter color from our exclusive vivid pigments. Creamier feel from nourishing honey nectar."  

  

and i definitely agree with Maybelline's description. this lipstick, 885, is not only pigmented but absolutely gorgeous too! and it's also super creamy.  =)  

i'm beyond excited to try more of these amazing lipsticks! i think the next one on my list might be 880 Electric Orange or maybe 870 Shocking Coral. not sure yet but i guess we'll see so stay tuned.

4-3-13 EOTD - Wet 'n Wild Shimmer The Night Away palette

hey u! so today's Eye Of The Day was created with the Wet 'n Wild Shimmer The Night Away palette. this Wet 'n Wild collection contains 3 limited edition 8 pan palettes, which was released last Fall '12. but i only purchased this palette because of the purple/lilac shades!  =)

for this look, i only used 3 out of the 8 eyeshadows in this 8 pan palette: white, fuchsia, and purple. before applying the purple eyeshadow on my lid, i first applied painted purple color tattoo as a base. then i used the fuchsia eyeshadow to blend out the outer edges of the purple eyeshadow. finally, i used the white eyeshadow to highlight my tear duct. i lined my eye with the Jordana liquid eyeliner before applying my Khroma Beauty eyelashes, which i'm totally loving! i finished up this look by applying a white eyeliner, by Jordana, on my waterline. i must say i'm loving all my Wet 'n Wild palettes! i still have a few more that i will be using for future EOTD posts so stay tuned!

3-17-13 Collective Haul

hey u! so for the past couple of weeks i've purchased a few makeup items that i've been wanting to try. only one product was a disappointment: L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Sculpting Blush Duo, OneSweep, Nectar 825 (not pigmented). everything else, i loved!  =)  

i was beyond excited to try INGLOT for the first time! and oh em gee...i absolutely loved it! INGLOT eyeshadows and blushes are so silky smooth and easy to blend! i can't wait to get a bigger palette and more beautiful eyeshadows. i also loved all the brushes i bought. i definitely need to get more brushes, especially face brushes. i gotta give Khroma Beauty props for their awesome eyelashes! i'm loving these two that i recently got. i'm also excited to try more OCC Lip Tar's! i have Grandma and i adore it because it's such a gorgeous shade. the Rimmel  palette was a free gift from ULTA for reaching their level 2 rewards. i'm really digging the Milani powder foundation. as well as their color statement lipsticks! i gotta say, i've been into lipsticks and lip products since the beginning of the year and i can't get enough! these two NYX lippies are to die for, especially the lipgloss in 'Smokey Look'.  it is such a sparkly gloss! Gorge! and last, but not least, the purple color tattoo. yes, i finally jumped on the Maybelline Color Tattoo bandwagon, lol. but i can't complain because i am absolutely loving the texture and the color. i must admit, i am content with my collective haul. i got a few awesome products at reasonable prices! you gotta love sales and coupons! i know i do! =) so, what makeup goodies have you purchased lately that you would recommend?

CVS Haul - Lipstick Holder

hey u! so a few days ago i stopped by CVS, to walk around and browse, and guess what i found? well, i found these cute, heavy duty lipstick holders! these lipstick holders hold up to 9 lipsticks of your choice, whether they're round or square in shape. the container is clear and it has 3 tiers.  =)

coincidentally i was on the hunt for some makeup storage because my makeup is pretty much scattered all over the floor and i desperately need some organization...ASAP!  :/  lol.

so needless to say that i was ecstatic when i saw these lipstick holders. CVS currently sells them for $4.99 USD each. i purchased 2 @ $4.99 USD/each but i had a 20% off coupon so instead of paying $9.98 USD i only paid $7.98 USD! gotta love coupons!  =)  i'm currently waiting for my next coupon from CVS so that i can go back and purchase some more! i'm thinking maybe 3 or 4 more...but we'll see. i also kinda wanna go to Target and Walmart, to see if they have any lipstick containers or any other type of makeup storage, before buying anymore of these lipstick holders from CVS. you know, just in case they have bigger containers and/or better deals.

3-3-13 EOTD - Wet 'n Wild Fauna palette

hey u! so today's 'Eye Of The Day' was created using my Fauna eyeshadow trio by Wet 'n Wild, from last years Spring Collection '12. i can't wait to see what they have in store for us this Spring '13.  =)

so the Fauna palette has three beautiful, shimmery eyeshadows, which i used for this eye look. and i finished off the look with my Glimmer lashes by Khroma Beauty! i definitely have to go back to ULTA to pick up some more of these amazing lashes! my liner is by Jordana, which i'm diggin' BUT i wish it was waterproof. if anyone knows of a good, inexpensive, waterproof liner please let me know.  =)

Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte lipstick by Kate Moss #109

hey u! so a few weeks ago i stopped by my local CVS to pick up some goodies, since i had a coupon for $3 off any beauty purchase of $15 or more, so i had to take advantage of this great deal! i bought a powder foundation by Milani, a Wet 'n Wild nail polish and this lipstick by Rimmel.

this Rimmel lipstick is from one of Kate Moss' collections. the lipsticks in the red packaging are Matte; she also has another collection that comes in black packaging.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte lipstick by Kate Moss #109

when i first swatched this lipstick on my arm, it kind of looked pinky. but then when i applied it to my lips, it looked more on the coral-ly side. but nonetheless, it's a beautiful color. perfect for spring/summer!

not only did i fall in love with the color BUT i also fell in love with the scent! it smells like a 'paleta de mango con chile', in my opinion, which is a Mexican lollipop. all in all, i was very content with this purchase! for me, this lipstick is a must have! it currently retails around $5 USD, give or take a few cents. (0.14 oz)

Jenni Rivera palette by BH Cosmetics

hey u! so last week my hubby surprised me with a late birthday present: the Jenni Rivera 36 Color Eyeshadow and Blush Palette by BH Cosmetics. i was beyond excited when he handed me the package! i couldn't wait to open it!  =)

not only am i a fan of makeup palettes, but i'm also a fan of the late, great Jenni Rivera! (R.I.P. Jenni) i've been wanting this palette for some time now but after her untimely passing, it made me want it even more! as soon as i opened it, i fell in love with all the beautiful, bright colors. and i also loved the fact that her name was on the palette as well. as soon as i started swatching the eyeshadows, i noticed that the light shadows were a bit chalky and not as pigmented, but nothing to be concerned about since you could always build up the colors to your liking. the darker shadows were obviously more pigmented. and i was happy to find out that the blushes were nicely pigmented as well. my favorite blush definitely has to be the peachy matte color!

even though the pink blushes are pretty, i'm more of a peachy kind of gal. so needless to say that i will be using the first two blushes more often than the other four. but they're all beautiful colors nonetheless!

the 15 eyeshadows on the left side of the palette (top picture) are darker shades for smoky looks. as well as some light shades for highlighting. while the other 15 eyeshadows on the right side of the palette (bottom picture) are more neutral, earth tone shades, which are best for everyday looks. i used the NYX jumbo pencil in Milk as a base, before swatching all the colors, so they would look more pigmented & true to color.

this Jenni Rivera 36 Color Eyeshadow and Blush Palette by BH Cosmetics retails for $24.95 USD at the BH Cosmetics website. but luckily my hubby purchased it for only $18.00 USD when it was on sale. you gotta love sales! all in all, i was very pleased with this palette. it has a wide range of beautifully pigmented colors at a reasonable price, so you can't beat that!  =)

Mariah Carey OPI Liquid Sand 4 Mini Nail Lacquer Set

hey u! so this past weekend i went to Ulta to see if they had the gold and silver NYX glitters but unfortunately they didn't. i guess i have to check out a different Ulta store...sigh! so instead, i decided to pick up the Mariah Carey OPI Liquid Sand Nail Polish Set.

even though i'm not a fan of Mariah Carey, anymore, i still purchased this OPI Liquid Sand set of 4 mini nail lacquers because of all the pretty GLITTER! for the past month or so i've been on a glitter kick! i've been totally loving anything and everything with glitter! <3 so i was definitely excited to try these glittery nail polish shades!

this set includes 4 mini nail lacquers (L-R) Get Your Number, Can't Let Go, The Impossible, and Stay The Night. The 'Liquid Sand' creates a textured, matte finish infused with reflective sparkle. it's pretty awesome! please let me know if you would like to see swatches! the set currently retails for $12.95 USD at participating Ulta stores. but since i had a coupon, i only paid $9.45 USD which was a great deal! there are a total of 8 lacquers in this collection but only 4 are in this mini set called the 'Stage Shades'. the other 4, 'Studio Shades', are regular size. the regular size nail lacquers retail for $9.00 USD at participating Ulta stores. as of now, i have 'A Butterfly Moment' and 'Sprung', which are absolutely gorgeous shades! next on my list is 'Pink Yet Lavender'. hopefully i'll get it sometime this weekend! =) we'll see....lol.

12-12-12 Hard Candy Glossaholic Haul

hey u! so last night, around midnight, my little sister and i went to Walmart to get some goodies to bake. and of course i had to stop by the makeup aisles, like duh! lol =) for once, i was actually looking for a specific item because i usually just browse and buy whatever catches my eye. so i recently saw a picture of a gorgeous glittery lipgloss, posted by @CindyGomez on instagram http://instagram.com/p/OFrivfFxc0/ and i fell in love with it! so i knew i had to have it!

the name of the lipgloss is Glossaholic by Hard Candy. i was on the hunt for Coffee #374 and to my surprise i noticed that there were two different glittery, scented lipglosses to choose from. of course i had to buy them both! there were other glittery lipglosses as well but they were in different shades and the other two were clear so i chose both of the clear, glittery glosses in Coffee and Vanilla. there are no words to describe how beautiful these lipglosses are! not to mention the fact that Vanilla smells soooo good! delish! the Coffee lipgloss smells alright. i've only tried the Vanilla lipgloss, so far, on top of a matte purple lipstick and Oh Em Gee....i LOVED it! @CindyGomez was right, it looks awesome on dark lip colors! =) thanks @CindyGomez. i think i definitely need to check out the rest of the Glossaholic collection! i purchased these two lipglosses at my local Walmart Supercenter for $5.00 USD. i can't wait to try some more! let me know if you would like to see some swatches. have you tried any of these Hard Candy Glossaholic lipglosses? =)

11-27-12 Collective Haul

hey u! so for the past couple of months, or so, i've been hauling a few makeup items. i've really been into blushes lately, especially peach blushes. but it has been challenging trying to find the perfect peach blush because most peach blushes that i've seen and/or purchased have NOT been peachy. for example, my most recent blush purchase was last Friday when i bought the "peach" blush by NYX at Ulta. well let me tell you, that blush is NOT peach, at all! i was very disappointed! don't get me wrong, it is a pretty color, it's just not peachy. other 'peach' blushes that i've purchased have been kinda peachy or corally, which is ok cuz i love coral blushes too! this haul picture shows the five blushes that i've recently purchased. my favorite one out of the five definitely has to be Secret It-Girl by Essence, which i got at Ulta. it gives your cheeks a nice peachy glow. that's why i've been using this blush a lot lately. and for $2.99 USD, you can't go wrong!

aside from the blushes, i also purchased nine lip products, three eyeshadow palettes, two nail files, and some glitter. PURPLE glitter! =) perfect for the holiday season! and any other time of the year!

My Top 10 MAC Lipsticks!

hey u! so i've always been a lipstick lover...i just can't seem to get enough of them! especially when it comes to MAC lipsticks. they're absolutely amazing and they smell sooo good, even though they're a lil' pricey. but i still love them! they have a variety of colors to choose from, which is a plus! and they also have a variety of finishes like satin, matte, lustre, frost, cremesheen, glaze, and amplified creme. so you could say MAC lipsticks are my all time favorite lipsticks, along with wet n' wild lipsticks! with that being said, i'm excited to share with you, my top 10 favorite MAC lipsticks at the moment.

the lipsticks appear to be glossy but they're not. the sun was kinda melting them since i placed them by the window. i was just trying to get the best lighting but i think i'll have to find a better spot, lol.

10-21-12 EOTD - Wet n' Wild Flora palette

hey u! =) so i'm still kinda excited 'bout the jam packed weekend the hubby and i had! on Saturday we went to the state fair and we got to see a free concert...NAS! it was an awesome experience! and we ate sooo much food that it ain't even funny lol. we also watched our first pig race! sue weee! it was surprisingly fun! they even swam! =) it was def a kodak moment. i was just disappointed that i didn't take any pictures of the makeup i wore that day. and i actually loved it! then today, sunday the 21st, we hosted our first family pumpkin carving contest! and i'm happy to announce that it was a complete success! yay! =) delicious food, yummy halloween treats, and amazing company...who could ask for more! for today's Eye Of The Day, i used my wet n' wild flora trio. this trio came out for springtime 2012. i was lucky enough to get both sets!

the flora trio comes with a light, shimmery yellow green eyeshadow, a shimmery emerald green eyeshadow, and a matte orange eyeshadow. i used the emerald green on my lid, over a black base and the matte orange on my crease. then i used a little bit of the matte brown eyeshadow, from the i <3 matte palette, on my crease to darken it up a bit. and as always, to finish up my look, i used my favortie lashes #205 by eylure. on my lips i used wet n' wild's Bare It All megalast lip color, one of my faves, topped off with my too faced lipgloss in Pillow Talk. i've been diggin' this combo lately! and as i mentioned in a previous post, i've been totally loving wet n' wild beauty products! right now i'm on the hunt for the new limited edition eight pan palette in Shimmer The Night Away. i haven't had any luck yet but i'm hoping i'll find it before it's sold out.

10-3-12 EOTD - Wet n' Wild Vanity palette

hey u! =) so today the hubs and i went out to eat and this was the Eye Of The Day that i sported. i used my Wet n' Wild Vanity palette, which i wore religiously this past summer 2012!
 

 
i used four eyeshadows from the Vanity palette: the three matte eyeshadows and the bottom shimmery shadow. my lashes, by eylure #205, finished off this 'daytime smoky' look. i was pretty content with the outcome of this look considering we only went out to grab a quick bite to eat. this is usually a look i sport when i go out at night. i love this palette because since the colors are more on the neutral side, there are a variety of looks that can be created! it's just too bad that this palette is no longer available. hopefully Wet n' Wild will come out with something similar, in the near future. now that i've done a look for each of the four Wet n' Wild 6 pan palettes, i think i'll move on to their limited edition springtime eyeshadow trios! stay tuned for that! and as always, thanks for stopping by! until next time...

Accessories Of The Day: 9-15-12 AOTD

hey u! so this past weekend my hubby and i attended a baptism, which gave me a reason to "dress up", so i was very excited. the reason i say that is because most of my life i've been a tomboy so i never really dress "girly" or wear any accessories. and lately i've been dying to sport different accessories so this was the perfect opportunity. the only downside to this was that i realized that i didn't have much of a selection to choose from. but at least now i know what to add to my bday/xmas/anniv wishlist this year. yay!  =)  

i wore brown capris slacks with a teal top along with these butterfly earrings and this cute charm bracelet. and i finished off my outfit with this super cute clutch, which i got for xmas last year. it's from Charlotte Russe! on my feet i wore a pair of open toe sandals with a small heel, perfect to walk in all night long. and as always, i splashed on some of my favorite perfume, Carolina Herrera 212. i never leave home without it! since i take forever to get ready, i didn't have any time to style my hair so i just wore it down. but after drinking a few Coronas i got hot and put my hair up in a ponytail....FAIL. lol! my hubby and i had an awesome time. the food was amazing and they played good music! i can't wait to go out again! until next time...thx for stopping by!

9-18-12 EOTD - Wet n' Wild Greed palette

hey u! this past summer i've been totally into neutral eyeshadows! i've been pairing them up with bold lip colors, which i'm loving! a few of my favorite neutral shades come from the Wet n' Wild Greed palette. i used my greed palette to create today's Eye Of The Day. =) last month i also did a tutorial with this palette but it's a different look than this EOTD because i used a black liquid eyeliner and another eyeshadow as well. this WnW 6 pan palette contains three matte eyeshadows and three shimmery ones, like most six pan palettes. i used two matte shades, on my lid and crease, and one shimmery shade on my tear duct. and of course i added some lashes to dress up the look! the lashes i used are from e.l.f. i've been totally diggin' the eyelashes from eyes.lips.face! i'm glad i still have a few left. the only complaint i have about the wnw greed palette is that the purplish shadow is not pigmented at all. at least not mine. =( i've seen swatches of this eyeshadow on google and this shade looks sooo pigmented so i am a little bummed out that my shade isn't. especially since PURPLE is my favorite color! but oh well, it is what it is. until next time...
